I had the privilege of photographing the very well known Will Stroet’s newest baby girl June! If you haven’t heard his very catchy children’s music, you definitely need to check him out here. His oldest daughter, Ella, was pretty much the most well behaved older sibling I’ve ever had at a newborn shoot! I had so much fun laughing with them that day! It was great being back in my old neighbourhood, Kitsilano! Here are a few of my favourite photos from the Stroet’s shoot.
This Momma and I had been planning her maternity session for quite a while. She planned ahead, just like I like! Well just right before I was leaving for her shoot I had this vision pop into my head… I pictured something soft and lacy at sunset with her and her baby girl. I quickly grabbed a lace curtain I had (quickly tying it around me to see if it would work) and grabbed a lace pink dress I had recently bought for my three year old – it still had tags on it. I also grabbed a couple headbands out of my girls bow basket! I was picturing a hippy type headband, across moms forehead. When I explained all this to her when we got there, I think she thought I was insane and I KNOW she felt silly with a headband across her forehead. But I have to say I TOTALLY pulled off my vision in this first photo below. I loved working with this family! And little miss C had the best personality ever!
It’s been a busy spring and beginning of summer for us! Thankfully school and extra curricular activities are over and we get to have some fun! My hubby FINALLY finished his masters degree! It was our two year turned SEVEN year plan but unplanned blessings (children) and other things slowed down the process. We wouldn’t have it any other way and are so thankful that he is done and all his hard work finally paid off! We are also glad to have our Daddy back!
Some fun playtime with Emelia in the yard!
Adalynn turned six! And got a lot of new art supplies for her passion – drawing!
And we cannot get enough of the beach!
And a fun roller skate shoot with Addie!
Adalynn graduated from Kindergarten!
It’s so fun to see how much she’s changed from the first day of Kindergarten to the last day! I love how her dreams have changed too
We had a fun evening at the park with our small group from Village Church before the summer started. A lot of Addie’s closest friends from school are also in our small group!
Emelia wasn’t so sure of the water!
This girl LOVES the swing and laughs hysterically the whole time she’s on it!
Adalynn and some of her closest BFFs!
